| [Miscellaneous] Astronaut Edward H. White II, et al. Form AF 175. Washington, D. C., NASA, December 28, 1964, first edition. This is a unique archive of forms signed by nine astronauts, in 1964, five years before man walked on the moon, NASA started churning out press releases related to the space program, as part of this program NASA created AF 175, a form that documented biographies of astronauts, once the forms were completed a biography was created to be sent to that astronaut's respective hometown newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations, the forms noted the astronaut's name, rank, age, hometown address, their high school and college affiliation, membership in fraternal organizations, present position (astronaut), source of their commission, marital status, wife's name, name of her parents, their address, etc., each form was then signed by that astronaut, these forms are stapled to a cover letter on NASA letterhead presenting the forms to the commander of the 1100th Air Base Wing at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D. C., in addition to these nine signed forms are seven of the biographical news releases generated from these signed forms, two of the signatures are difficult to find because of the death of Edward H. White II and Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom who died in the Apollo 1 disaster January 27, 1967 at Cape Kennedy's launch complex in Florida when a fire ignited in their command module during preflight testing, it should also be noted that while Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. has been a prolific signer, his signature also dates to 1964, a very early signature, the nine astronaut signed profiles are comprised of the following: Edward H. White II (first man to walk in space, Gemini 4, Apollo 1), Thomas P. Stafford (Gemini 3 and 9, Apollo 10), David R. Scott (Gemini 8, Apollo 9 and 15), James A. McDivitt (Gemini 4, Apollo 9), Donn F. Eisele (Apollo 7), Frank Borman (Gemini 7, Apollo 8), William A. Anders (Apollo 8), Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. (Gemini 12, Apollo 11), and Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom (Gemini 3, Apollo 1), unique. Some notes on the cover letter, the stapled lot with folds, edge wear to the generated biographies.
